Won Heart is a community-centered initiative dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing critical health challenges, especially children born with heart conditions. Inspired by lived experience and grounded in compassion, Won Heart exists to provide resources, financial assistance, and hope to those who need it most. The mission is simple but powerful: to ensure that no family feels alone while navigating life-altering medical journeys. Through fundraising events and community support, Won Heart turns empathy into action and love into tangible impact.

Basketball Ballers

Basketball Ballers is more than a tournament — it’s a community celebration with a purpose. Hosted by Nakia Gordon, this all-ages basketball event brings together players ages 5 and up for a day of competition, connection, and giving back. With divisions ranging from youth to a 35-and-up grand finale, Basketball Ballers creates space for everyone to participate. The event will take place at the City of Bowie Gymnasium in the DMV area, where doors open at 10:45 AM and games begin promptly at 11:00 AM. With free registration, on-site vendors, and food provided, Basketball Ballers is designed to be inclusive, fun, and impactful — with all proceeds benefiting Won Heart.
