Nakia Gordon is a lifelong DMV community member and a true pillar of service. Born and raised in the very community she now uplifts, Nakia is the owner of a daycare and a passionate advocate for youth, families, and local initiatives. Her commitment to giving back is deeply personal — her daughter was born with a congenital heart defect, living with only half a heart. That journey transformed Nakia’s purpose, inspiring her to raise awareness and resources for others facing similar challenges. Through events like Basketball Ballers and her ongoing volunteer efforts, Nakia continues to lead with heart, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to helping her community thrive.
